STIRRING THE POT OF WORSHIP

A VISION CONCERNING ISRAEL'S NORTHEN BORDER
GIVEN TO RICK RIDINGS

JERUSALEM, 16 MARCH 2003

In this vision, I saw a stairway with angels ascending and descending. The angels were coming down the stairs, bringing shofars to us, and telling us in the worship watches to distribute these. I felt they were saying to give these out in Israel. And then I felt like one of the angels asked me, “Would you like to come up?” As I started up the stairway, I sensed that the clothing which I had on was so filthy. I began to strip off the old clothes and throw them away, and the angels brought me a golden robe, and placed on my head a golden turban.

When I came to the top of the stairway, an angel took a golden scooper, a sort of “fire-pan” like they used in the Tabernacle of Moses, and dipped it into the coals of fire. He then began to pour it out parallel to the northern border of Israel. It made a wide swath across southern Lebanon.

Then somehow, I was back down on earth again, and I was stirring a pot, filled with something like lava. An angel asked, “What is this pot?” And then he said, “This pot is the fierce anger of the LORD against those who would destroy His ancient people and His ancient Land.” He then said, “The ‘stirring’ is your worship.” And he said three times, “Don’t stop stirring! Don’t stop stirring! Don’t stop stirring!” He said, “When you stir, the enemy is confused.” And he pointed out that from this pot or cauldron there was steam rising, and the steam was going out as a cloud of confusion towards the enemy (demonic powers) to the North of Israel.

Then the angel began to scoop out coals of fire from this pot on earth. He began to pour them out, and they looked like burning lava. And this time I saw angels that were standing with their arms crossed, and with their backs toward Lebanon. They were all along the northern border of Israel, guarding it. When the angel poured out the coals of fire, it was a fearful thing. I realized it was very severe judgment. But when the fire died down to ashes, the angels guarding the border reached down and began to stretch the border of Israel as if it were rubber, pulling the border northward over the area that had been judged.

I believe, according to Scripture, that area is to eventually be within the borders of Israel. The angel did not indicate when this would happen, but I felt that God wants to draw our attention to the northern border. We don’t need to be alarmed, but we do need to be alert, as God shows us how to pray for the northern border.

A Scripture which seems to confirm this vision is Ezekiel 28:20-26

The word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, set your face against Sidon [my note: Sidon is a center for terrorism in Southern Lebanon, just to the North of Israel]; prophesy against her and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Sidon, and I will gain glory within you. They will know that I am the LORD, when I inflict punishment on her and show myself holy within her. I will send a plague upon her and make blood flow in her streets. The slain will fall within her, with the sword against her on every side. Then they will know that I am the LORD. No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When I gather the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered, I will show myself holy among them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob. They will live there in safety and will build houses and plant vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.'"
